Directions from London/ the East
Take M4/M5 or M3/A303/A30/M5 towards Exeter
2. At the end of the M5 after Exeter after the long bridge, take the A30 towards Okehampton
3. Continue all the way on the A30 past Okehampton and Launceston. After about an hour after leaving the M5 and once you are past Bodmin Moor and soon after the Cardinham turning, there is a turning on your right off the dual carriageway signposted to Launceston and Helland. (n.b. you are well past Launceston so don't be tempted by any previous signs to it). Take this turn right off the dual carriageway, then turn right again at the T-Junction immediately following the turn off
4. [If you miss the Helland turn off the A30, take the next turning left towards Bodmin, turn right at the roundabout and follow signs to Helland]
5. Go along that lane for half a mile and take the first left, signposted to Helland
6. After another mile you will reach Helland. Take the first left in Helland by a stone cross (war memorial)
7. Continue on that road, again for about a mile, until you reach a T-Junction, where you turn left
8. Bocconion is about half a mile on the right, through a stone gateway (with no gate), down a tree lined track.
9. To get to the house, go through another stone gateway at the end of the track on your left
